Jewellery care
Yes both sterling silver and 18ct gold will tarnish over time if not cared for properly. But here’s the good news, you can prevent tarnishing by ensuring to keep your jewellery out of water especially spas and swimming pools, also making sure it doesn't come in contact with perfumes or lotions as these products can be harsh on the metal and cause tarnish. Also being mindful to store your pieces in the packaging they came in or an air tight container and away from the humidity of the bathroom when your not wearing them. If you pieces have tarnish it’s so simple to clean them in just a few minutes at home. Here’s how ;
CLEANING
To clean the tarnish from your 18ct gold jewellery, I recommend just giving it a good rub over with a polishing or microfibre cloth to restore the shine. For sterling silver pieces first give it a good scrub with some water, hand soap and a soft/general tooth brush to remove excess dirt and oil. After you should dry your piece and go in with a polishing or microfibre cloth and give it a good rub to restore the shine to your pieces.
